Really good for sensitive skin

I have super sensitive skin on my chest. Band-Aids will pull chunks of skin off. This doesn't do that. That said, it didn't work for me simply because my chest is too large. That's not their fault though. I would recommend this for guys with an A or B cup, maybe a C, but not much larger than that since chests larger than that can get heavy and the tape isn't able to hold them up. I would still recommend this to guys with super sensitive skin.

I have used a standard binder for a number of years and was excited when I found out that there were alternative methods, as binding over the years can become painful. I have tried this specific product twice. The initial time that I tried it, I was left with abrasions and at some points small open wounds on my skin. I did some further research to see if it was the product or if I was using it incorrectly. I found out that I was using the product in the wrong way, so I chalked it up to user error. I spent a period of time where I didn't use the product (Or any of it's like) for a period of time (between 1.5-2 years) and went back to a standard binder. But yet again I went in search of a product to replace my binder as it was becoming even more painful and uncomfortable to use. I came across this product again when I was shopping around for alternatives, and decided to give them another try (seeing as how the first time I tried it, I was applying it incorrectly). Being more versed and knowledgeable about the product, I had high hopes that this would be a method that would safely and comfortably replace my binder. Even after I had done the additional research to correctly apply the tape, following the instructions and other reviews by others who have used the product, I still had the SAME PROBLEM. I removed the tape today and was left with small open wounds on my skin and massive irradiations to my skin, to the point when I took a shower the water was painful to those areas. I thought that this was due to me incorrectly using the product, but even after following the instructions the same result happened. I do not usually write reviews about things, if I have a negative experience I just will not get the same product again. In this case, not only is the result painful and even more uncomfortable than the original solution I was using, it is also extremely disheartening. As a transman, I was extremely excited to replace my painful and uncomfortable binder. Instead of finding a comfortable replacement, the end result was more uncomfortable and even more painful. I hope it helps other individuals out there be more comfortable with their body, that would be an amazing consolation prize. I only wish I was able to share in that experience as well.

Off brand, cost differential boils down to quality vs free shipping

This is an off brand of Transtape. It works as advertised but for the differential in price I have simply taken to buying the original brand off their website as it is not on on Amazon, even if it means no free prime shipping. This tape is not nearly as easy to get to adhere as the original. You must apply carefully and adhere with friction, during which it is easy to accidentally catch the edges on your hands or clothes and mess it up, leaving it less sticky. It is thinner, requiring more tape in total, costing about the same either way. This tape is also not self-adherent on the outer side, original transtape sticks to its own fabric for the most part. Original transtape is also less irritating to my skin even when fully stretched, making for more pleasant long term wear, extending the life of each roll. Original tape takes about 3 5-grid-square segments for desired flatness, this tape takes 4-5. This tape is also lacking the guards and instructional insert of the original. I would not recommend transgenxtape for packing or tucking personally, only binding, due to the irritating nature of the adhesive. You need to make your own nipple guards or you will damage your skin. If you are set on buying this brand with these factors in mind, definitely buy the wider roll. Also, I would recommend removing this with something like coconut or jojoba oil instead of baby oil. I use the same oil blend for my curly hair to remove the tape. These are the things I wish I knew before ordering for the first time. Stay safe, know your limits and good luck.

I recommend not buying it if you have anything above a medium/high b cup because I have a c cup and it did not work for me no matter what methods I tried.
