Pros: | Optically OK once stopped down, funny bokeh when open, cheap, fairly built | Cons: | You can get a genuine pentax 50 1.7 for the same price | Sharpness: 8
Aberrations: 5
Bokeh: 9
Handling: 8
Value: 9
| | This 50mm performs very well once stopped down (and better than my FA 50), like most of manual 50mm. It's small and fun to use and doesn't look ridiculous even on a K-5.
At full aperture, the image quality is... well, let's say creative... It bears a huge spheric aberration, which leads to a very strange mix of fine details and fuzzy blobs. The bokeh is interesting, especially in the corners of the frame (some lines may appear clear, even if clearly out of focus). Shooting light sources nightly also produces funny patterns.

Pros: | Cheap as chips, very well built, focus ring is firm, manual | Cons: | A little soft at f/1.7 | Sharpness: 8
Aberrations: 8
Bokeh: 8

| | This is a very good lens for the price, and as long as you don't expect it to be a Pentax M 50, you won't be disappointed. Its a wee bit soft wide open but performs very well in the mid range. Focus ring is firm, but not stiff, as is the aperture ring. The plastic lens cap leaves a lot to be desired and will be replaced with a generic before long.

Pros: | It is cheap for begin entering MF ! | Cons: | Nothing | Sharpness: 8
Aberrations: 9
Bokeh: 8
Handling: 8

| | I bought this lens from Ebay. The seller ship it from Korean.
With that price, we have a new MF lens with big aperture 1.7. I feel ok to shot in 1.7 but around 2.8 will be more sharpness.
The image quality is very fine, it remembers me the CCD images. Build quality is very solid. Highly recommend !

Pros: | Very cheap, good build quality & good value for money. | Cons: | Filter ring is prone to damage if dropped | Sharpness: 9
Aberrations: 8
Bokeh: 10
Handling: 9
Value: 9
| | Very cheap, all-steel construction & good value for money. It's downsides though that if you drop the lens by accident (if it ever happens) the filter ring is prone to dinting which renders filters useless.

Pros: | Sharp stepped down, price, sturdy built | Cons: | Manual focus | | Great lens for the price, if you can live with the manual focus.
This is example of macro using macro extension ring | |

Pros: | Inexpensive, 'sharp' looking | Cons: | Non so far | | Lens arrived today so my review may need to be revised after a while! So far I've taken about 50 test shots and as of now things look pretty good. The lens came with a UV Filter, bonus, have to have one for every lens.
Focus down to about 18" not too bad.
Easy movement of aperture and focus rings, not loose (yet)
Still a little bit skeptical of the product but will do my best to be fair in next review, if needed!
Will post some images later, surgery tomorrow so may not be back 'till the weekend, Yuk.

Pros: | Sharp above F2.0, easy to use, inexpecive | Cons: | Soft at 1.7, | | Very nice lens overall, focus ring is tight at first but does get much smoother after some use.
As with most lenses, it's a bit on the soft side when fully open (1.7) but after F2 it gets very sharp.
Flare resistance is above average to excellent.
Its not a better or superior lens to Pentax manual line but for the current price, it's worth checking it out in my opinion. Very fun lens to play with.
