fuji ax mount
this lens gave me a hard time to get good results. wide open it's soft and difficult to focus precisely, especially on sunny day.

I had problems with it too, didn't find it to be a good lens at all, although sometimes the shots came out nice. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Unusual for a Fujinon lens to be so so.
You have done well to get these results then.
Their 1.8/55 M42 is a stunningly good lens, and the 1.6/55 is a standout.
I wonder why this one gives grief

I agree on the 1.8/55 and 1.6/55 being gems.
The last set of X-Fujinons were produced to a price point, very cheap plastic construction and a noticeable reduction in build and image quality.
The superb 1.6/55 was replaced with a smaller and inferior 1.6/50, the 55 is metal and solid, the 50 is flimsy plastic.
The 2.2/55 and 1.9/50 were budget items, they never received the EBC coating (the 1.6s came in both EBC and non-EBC) and are really cheaply made if you take one apart.
I don't know what other X-Fujinons are inferior, the 2.2/55, 1.9/50 and 1.6/50 are not upto the usual standard, but I have an EBC 3.5/28 that is superb.
I know the EBC 2.8/100, 1.6/55 and 2.5/135 are superb. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

I have the X-Fujinar 2.8/135 made by Komine. Never tried it, it's lost somewhere in my pile of lenses, but when I find it, I'll try it out.
The EBC 3.5/28 has been on my NEX a lot lately, becoming my favourite 28. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |

Hey guys! Hate to go off-topic here but I recently came across a Fuji ax mount 28mm f/1.9 at a local camera shop and have found very little info on it. Do you guys have any idea about the lens? What do you think would be it's market value? |
